Sasha Khromov is a theatre director from Russia (St Petersburg). The basis of his creative method is the work with the spectator's perception as a field for personal transformation. For example, a fairytale for children creates a space through the form and presence of the performer, where imagination and intuition make it easier to grow. Performative practices and visual works ritualise the space and the emerging contexts, turning the performance into a collective event.

Graduated from the St. Petersburg Academy of Theatre Arts in 2012 as a theatre director in the studio of N. P. Naumov.
From 2012-2014 worked at the Kemerovo Puppet Theatre named after Ark. Gaidai as an actor, director and artist. During this period he also taught acting at the Kemerovo University of Culture and Arts. During those two years he curated and directed the project "Fairytale Laboratory" with the support of the Ministry of Culture.

From 2015 until today he is the founder, leader, director and actor of the theatre and laboratory of visual, atmospheric and performative perception 'metazero'. As a director from 2015 to 2022 he has staged productions all over Russia. His theatre works have repeatedly been participants and winners of international festivals and awards.

After the beginning of the Russian military aggression against Ukraine, Sasha Khromov left Russia. At the moment he is living and working in Serbia.

He is open for cooperation all over the world.
