Engineering theatre AKHE
It was the opening of the ARTPLAY design centre. On the site of the former optics and computer factory, a 1000 m2 workshop with a 40-metre ceiling was the venue for a performance called 'Planetary Fugue'. Engineering Theatre AKHE invited me as an artist and performer.
Nick Khamov (one of the artists) made geometric shapes out of steel. I turned them into sound installations by setting cello strings in the corners of the shapes. Using cello bows we opened the performance with a musical composition.
