The Nose
based on novel by Nikolai Gogol "The Nose", theatre CEH
This play was created by a close friend of mine. Here I got to explore the possibilities of a minimalist acting technique, in which the space of the theme linking the time of Gogol's original story to the present day is revealed. In my interpretation, it was contemporary independent media.
My role is that of a newspaper official who finds himself in a situation where it is very difficult to resist the pressure of someone with connections and power. My character becomes insignificant until it turns out that the gentleman who arrives needs a special kind of help. My character is arrogant and ironic in his refusal, which makes him look like a disgusting excuse for a human being.
